And in short order it is becoming the Telugu remake of that much-praised Bollywood film Mathrubhumi, which tells the story of a virtuoso pianist who pretends to be blind and gets so caught up in his false pretense that he inadvertently witnesses a murder by an erstwhile film actor and falls into an odd web of cheats and dangerous moral hazes.

Highlights:

Nithiin is quite impactful as he plays the dual characters of weakness and treachery.

Tamannaah is quite effective here as a bold female fatal.

And a huge credit for the crowd-puller is Nabha Natesh, who was charmed by her love interest.

Keeps true to its source material with suspense and dark humor in a terrific format.

Advantages:

Most of it, the story is quite engaging and has a lot of twists and turns there.

A great cross between comic and tension-thriller.

A powerful background score builds up the tension.

Gorgeously pictured, making them once again spot on for the thriller.

Disadvantages:

For the one who has watched Andhadun, the plot becomes pretty too predictable.

Some of the scenes don’t pack the same punch and subtlety of the original.

I think maestro is one absolutely genetically adaptation with the graphics from the original, but what is added is a regional touch. It’s excellent storytelling, and the performances are riveting; any crime thriller and dark comedy fans would enjoy this.
