Review of The Big Trip (Animated Fantasy Adventure Movie):
Big Trip is a clever and funny animated adventure featuring an odd bunch of animals embarking on an adventure to return a baby panda back home. The animation uses cartoon-like co lours and a relatively simple narrative structure, and kids will be entertained, learning about teamwork, friendship and perseverance. While we adults may or may not laugh, kids will definitely laugh at the lively pace of the adventures.
The voice acting is okay enough, but not very memorable, and the story follows a traditional road trip formula. As expected, it is predictable. Nevertheless, it does a good job of holding on to a fun tone throughout. The animation is bright and lively, but not on the level of big studio productions, to be sure.
Overall, The Big Trip is an acceptable choice for a family movie night, especially for children under 10. It is innocent family fun and teaches good values, which is better than doing nothing, even if it is unoriginal and presents as shallow for adults.
