Review
Bad Boy in Love is a young-style romantic drama running against the cosmopolitan backdrop of Bogor city. Young Sara, an introverted and pure girl from Solo is struggling at the beginning to cope with life in a drug out busy high school scene. When she meets her first bad but handsome boy, her life becomes sentimental, complicated and a whirlwind of inevitable teenage emotions, feelings of self-discovery, and realization of love.
The film does a great job of portraying the hard edge of teenage romance,
and Nicole Parham and Jeff Smith have good performances. Although it may be
considered predictable plot-wise, the mix of emotions and relatable teenage
problems make this film enjoyable to watch. The cinematography captures the
city life ambiance of Bogor well. The soundtrack gave a nice and sweet
emotional tone to the film overall.
